DMV Work Digest Virginia eVA bid alerts for trades contractors

Public bids, read in full

Only the bids that are actually your trade.

Virginia posts hundreds of solicitations to eVA every week. DMV Work Digest reads each one — the scope, the commodity codes, the line items — and emails you only the jobs that are really your work, with the matching text quoted so you can see why in five seconds.

A real alert, from real open Virginia solicitations — not a mockup written for this page.

The difference

eVA's own alerts match codes. We read the job.

eVA notifies you by commodity code — so a plumber gets equipment rentals, supply purchases, and engineering studies that merely mention pipe. Our engine reads what the work actually is, and anything that isn't contractor work gets filtered before it reaches you.

Filtered — never sent

VDOT on-call equipment hire

engine verdict: not matched — materials/goods purchase ("Rental or Lease") — not installation work. Only mention of the trade: line item “ROLLER, STEEL WHEEL, 3-5 TON, WITH WATER SYSTEM, WITH OPERATOR”.

A code-based alert would have sent this to every plumber subscribed to the category. It's a rental contract. You never saw it — and that's the product.

How it works

Set up by reply. Alerts by email. Nothing to log into.

STEP 1

Tell us your trade and your counties

One email: “HVAC and plumbing, Richmond metro plus the Peninsula.” That's your whole setup.

STEP 2

We read every new posting, statewide

Title, full scope description, commodity codes, line items — every solicitation posted to eVA, every day.

STEP 3

You get only real matches, with proof

Each bid arrives with the quoted text that made it your work, and the due date. If a deadline changes, you're re-alerted.

Coverage

Twelve trades, every Virginia locality

Filters are per-trade and per-county — a Hampton Roads plumber and a NoVA electrician get completely different digests.

Straight answers

What this is, and what it isn't

Where does the data come from?
Public postings on eVA, Virginia's official procurement site. There's no inside information — the edge is that we actually read all of it, every day, so you don't have to.
How is this different from just using eVA?
Everything we send is on eVA — findable, in theory, by anyone. eVA's notifications match commodity codes; ours reads the scope of work. The difference is what doesn't reach you: the rentals, the supply buys, the studies. Less noise means the real ones get read.
What does it cost?
Free during early access. When paid plans start, founding contractors keep a preferred rate — you'll hear from us before anything changes.
How much email is this?
One digest when there's something new that matches — for most trades, a few emails a week, not a few a day. Unsubscribe is one reply, honored immediately.
